The Elongated one - Scape

The creature spoke in a language I had never heard before, a strange tongue unlike anything known to me. Then, one of the children began to cry, while his older brother tried desperately to comfort him. The creature simply remained there, watching them in silence. After a moment, it slowly extended one of its enormous hands toward them.

The children climbed onto its hand and then carefully made their way onto its back. Without a word, the creature began to climb upon itself, its impossibly long body extending higher and higher as it carried the children toward what appeared to be a possible way out. It continued to stretch upward, rising farther into the strange realm until, eventually, I could no longer see them.
