Encounter with the Elongated One

THE ELONGATED ONE — ENCOUNTER

Come closer, traveler… but do not linger too long upon this painting.

During one of my astral journeys beyond the known realms, I crossed a domain unlike any I had ever witnessed. There, two young children had wandered through a forbidden passage between worlds—a place mortals might call a no-clipped realm, where the walls of reality had simply ceased to matter.

That was where I found them.

Two children, frightened and utterly lost, standing before The Elongated One.

I could not see where the creature began, nor where its endless form ended. Its countless arms stretched into the darkness, disappearing beyond the boundaries of the domain itself. Yet it did not attack.

It was drawing.

For how long, I cannot say.

The floor was covered in strange markings, repeated again and again, as though the creature had been drawing them for centuries… or perhaps for millions of years.

I dared not disturb it.

The children stood frozen before the ancient being, watching as another endless mark was traced across the floor.

I have crossed kingdoms, walked among the dead, and gazed beyond the veil of time itself.

Yet never have I encountered something quite like The Elongated One.

Perhaps it has been trapped within that domain since before mankind learned to speak.

Perhaps it has always been there.

And perhaps…

it is still drawing.
